• Disconnect the power supply of the ionizer. Open the filter cover of the internal filter, turn anti-clockwise for open, then take out the internal active carbon filter.
• Place the cleaning filter into the filter chamber, turn clockwise to close up.
• Disconnect the water tube for acidic water outlet, and put the water stopper on into the acidic water outlet. (Fig. 1)
• Turn the alkaline water outlet upward. (Fig. 2)
• Open the faucet and let the water run for a few seconds and close it. Wait for 4 to 10 hours, or even overnight.
• Remove the water stopper at the acidic water outlet and let the liquid inside the machine to flow away.
• Place the alkaline water outlet to the normal position and reconnect the acidic water tube to the acidic water outlet as the original.
• Open the faucet and let the water run for at least 10 minutes to wash away the remaining liquid inside the ionizer.
• Close the faucet, open the filter chamber, and take out the cleaning filter.
• Put a new internal active carbon filter and close the cover, reconnect the ionizer to the power supply, and the ionizer is ready to use.
