Alkaline Water For a Healthy Heart

Healthy Heart

Studies have found that proper hydration can lower the risk for up to 50% in males over age forty (see below for source).

“The findings of a six-year study of more than 20,000 healthy men and women aged 38-100 by the American Journal of Epidemiology found that women who drank more than five glasses of water a day were 41% less likely to die from a  heart attack during the study period than those who drank less than two glasses per day.  This protective and preventative effect was even greater in men.”

Cardiovascular diseases, are as a group, the leading cause of death in western countries.  Due to the dramatic effects heart disease has on people major efforts have been made to help identify risk factors as well as to take steps to address these risks.

In addition a happy, healthy heart works best when the blood and body is well hydrated and the body consumes the right type of water containing ionic minerals like calcium and magnesium.

A Vital Mineral for Healthy Heart Function: Magnesium

It’s thought that a major contributing factor to heart disease, and sudden death caused by cardiovascular diseases is progressive leaching out of magnesium from the body – a vital mineral for healthy heart function.

To minimize heart disease risk, the idea wage should contain sufficient calcium and magnesium, with an active charge.  The active charge of these healthy minerals makes them “ions”.  Dead minerals, with no electric charge, are not readily bio-avaliable and will get easily absorbed into the body for use.

Water passing through the alkaline water machine will ionize these minerals giving them the electric charge they need to be taken up by the body.

Also it’s known that constant pumping action of the heart moves oxygen-rich blood to the cells and transports acidic gases to the lungs to be filtered out of the body system.  As you consume more alkaline water less metabolic waste will form acids which needs to be pumped out of the system to maintain a healthy pH balance.

Proper hydration reduces the work load on your heart and will feel like less stress to you.

For a happy, healthy heart, drink plenty of water everyday.
